Crisis Support

I am not able to offer an immediate crisis service. If you need urgent help or support, please consider contacting the following services depending on your needs.

Samaritans – 116 123 - 24/7

SANEline – 0300 304 7000 – every day 1-11pm

Breathing Space – 0800 838 587 – every day 6pm-2am

Alternatively, contact your doctor or their out of hours service. If your doctor is unavailable, an NHS emergency mental health assessment may be available by contacting the Mental Health Assessment Service on 0131 537 6000. This is a self-referral service and is based in the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. The Edinburgh Crisis Centre (0808 801 0414, or text 07974 429 075) offer crisis support by appointment (usually same day). Social Work Direct can be contacted on 0131 200 2324 during office hours, or 0800 731 6969 for the out of hours emergency service.
